ABOUT:
Love this all original French sweetie! A beautiful navette ring in 18k rose gold with a buttery glow from the recesses of the filigree work. The ring face displaying a mix of old cut diamonds totaling around 1.1 carat. At the center is a 4mm old mine cut diamond raised in prongs above a background of 16 rose cut diamonds. A lovely color, patina and sparkle and fun to see a mix of cuts on one piece as old cut diamonds reflect the light differently. The rose gold is a warm rosy antique rose gold, it is lovely.

French antique hallmarks used primarily in the 1800s for 18k gold and discontinued by 1919.

MEASUREMENTS:
Exact depth of the diamonds is unknown as I would not remove them. The center old mine cut measures about 4mm. The rose cuts are about 2mm each give or take. So just using online calculators and estimates I am getting 1.1 carat, total weight in diamonds.

The ring is a size 7 3/4 and weighs 3.2g. The ring face is 18x8mm and stands 6.2mm tall off the finger.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Still perfectly wearable. The center diamond is in great condition with no nicks or nibbles, it has some icy streak inclusions on one side that can catch the light but no dark or carbon spots, these are seen mostly with a loupe. Typical antique rose cuts with some frosty natural inclusions, rough edges, etc. They appear to have always been that way except for one which has some nibbles and flakes of loss on one side. You can see the frosty edge with the eye if you are looking for it. And then one of the rose cuts appears to be a replacement because it has only 3 facets and is sliced thinner compared to the others. It's no glaringly obvious but it does reflect the light a bit differently so you should be able to spot it in photos. The center stone has been re-tipped so the prongs are super sturdy for the OMC. Some wear to keep an eye on over time to the rose cut prongs but none of the stones move at all. A Wonderful antique sparkler.

But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

I would be delighted if you'd follow me in my shop. Thanks for stopping by!
