If you ever browse antique jewelry on instagram, you'll see the trend of taking pocket watch chain components and turning them into layering necklaces / a neckmess or neckstack. Here is a piece that would be a beautiful addition or interesting piece to wear alone on its own dainty chain - It is a French antique watch key in 18k gold. Very interesting design with geometric shaped top. It has an attached loop allowing it to be put on a chain (may need a jump ring due to small size).
French Antique piece from the Victorian era. The key components on the inside likely steel for strength but the rest of the piece is solid 18k gold.
Wonderful antique conversation piece to wear. Hallmarked on the loop with the French mark for 18k.
MEASUREMENTS:
Measures just 33mm end to end. It weighs 1.75g.
CONDITION:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition with signs of their age. There is a linear crack to the gold by the key opening where the seam was after they wrapped it with gold. That is about 8mm long but a small crease so please look for that in photos. It is still a very ornate piece though with a wonderful antique look.
