French Antique SWIRL .8Ctw 17 Old Mine & Rose Cut DIAMONDS Bangle Bracelet 18k Gold

Beautiful French Belle Époque piece - this bracelet is in 18k gold topped in silver with a swirling leaf design. It is set with 17 old mine and rose cut diamonds, the largest center diamond being OMC and the rest rose cuts. Wonderful design, sparkle and antique patina.

French antique hallmark used in the 1800s for 18k gold along with a maker's mark on the latch insert. The face of the bracelet is topped in silver as was customary to set the diamonds in a white metal.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 13.6 grams. It is about 8 inches around the outside with a tape measure wrapped around it. Inside dimensions are 57mm by 54mm if I measure the distance across the opening in each direction. I have a 5 1/2 inch wrist and it is too large for me. : ( It spins around my wrist but it won't slide off my hand without opening so I could get away with it in a stack. And with the hinge, it opens to slide over a larger wrist. It has a little flip clasp.

I am not a certified gemologist yet but just using my caliper under magnification and online calculators I am getting around .25 to .3 carats for the center OMC because it is a chunky / deep cut. The rose cuts are around 1.5mm to 2mm each. So it is somewhere around 0.8 to 1 carat total weight with all the stones.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition.
There is a shallow ripple to the back of the bangle where it was slightly bent but not visible while wearing. Some dark patina but could be cleaned up if desired. Most of my buyers prefer original patina.

Typical antique diamonds may have some light inclusions, nothing visible to the eye. The center old mine has nibbles and nicks of loss to one side, both edges so when you look at it with the eye it appears a bit oblong instead of cushion. The rose cuts have some rough and frosty edges as they were just cut that way since these old diamonds were cut by hand. A few of the small rose cuts have a nick here or there but again may have always been that way since they were cut.

Beautiful coloring, shine and patina. Some surface wear and a few scuffs scratches made more noticeable by the mirrored finish of the knife edge bangle, but functions well. So sparkly and beautiful. Please note that due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
