ABOUT:
Really romantic and fun to wear French antique Art Nouveau tiara ring in 18k rosy gold. This one is from my recent trip to Paris.
A creamy pearl sits opposite an old mine cut diamond with two single cut diamonds flanking the pearl. Then the scrolled shoulders of the ring are set with additional rose cut diamonds for added sparkle. The split pearl sits on a gold platform with a closed back and ornate prongs and the two larger diamonds are prong set with an open back along with the diamonds in the ring shoulders.
But my favorite thing about the piece is the curving movement to it. It's crown like form stacks so beautifully next to a band. Just a lovely added interest with that beautiful curved design which can be worn with the pearl facing up or down - very fun antique piece to wear. Looks like something a princess would wear, I just fell in love with it when I saw it.
French hallmarks for 18k.
MEASUREMENTS:
Ring is currently size 9. The ring face from top to bottom is 12mm. The largest OMC is about 2.8mm in diameter each, with the pearl about 5mm. It weighs 2.9 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are in estate condition, especially considering age of over 100 years. One worn prong but none of the stones move. Typical antique diamonds which were cut by hand so they are irregular in shape and have inclusions. Some of the diamonds might have a rougher edge here or there or a nibble seen under magnification, but some they were just cut this way. None of this is really noticeable with normal wear, the ring presents beautifully and the diamonds add a great antique sparkle. Band is Still perfectly shaped, with some surface wear and scratches. Still a fantastic piece with sparkling diamond cluster that is very eye catching.
But of course due to age - Please note this piece is not in mint condition. As with all antique jewelry, please handle these old rings with care. Will be sent with insurance and signature confirmation upon delivery at my cost.
