ABOUT:
Large, striking footprint and beautiful color and sparkle on this antique Belle Epoque French 18k gold ring topped in platinum with center old table cut diamond flanked by two green emeralds. The navette ring face is further set with 16 rose cut diamonds for a chunky cobblestone look. Really unique setting, wears just beautifully with amazing sparkle. The table cut diamond, while not very large, is a really neat stone with great clarity and a wonderful Kozibe effect where the square culet is reflected around the outline of the stone.
The emeralds are slightly different in cut and color, one resembling a French cut and the other a square cut. They both have good clarity so I am assuming the green stones are synthetic.

HALLMARKS:
Stamped with the French hallmark for 18k gold and platinum. Nice antique patina to the gold shank with rosy highlights.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 3/4. It weighs a sturdy 5.3 grams. The ring face is a dramatic 22mm top to bottom by 9mm wide. The center table cut is about 3mm, with the top and bottom green stones about the same give or take. The rose cut diamonds each 1.5-2mm to add the amazing sparkle.
CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition, especially considering age. It looks like the linear prongs holding the table cut diamond were fortified as they look a bit uneven and clunky under magnification. A few nibbles to one corner of the table cut seen only under magnification. The emeralds are different cuts and colors, have some abrasions under magnification and one seems to sit slightly crooked but I don't really notice it to the eye. Typical antique rough rose cut diamonds with irregular facets, some rough edges and natural frosty inclusions. Some appear to have a nick under magnification but likely just cut that way with inclusions carrying up to the surface, again this is not seen to the eye or when wearing as they just provide that little sparkle. It's an amazing piece to wear but just something to look for in the pics : ). Nice and sturdy shank but the prongs do have some wear so it will need gentle wear for that reason..
But of course due to age - Please note this piece is not in mint condition.
