ABOUT:
Dainty and minimalist diamond necklace, perfect to add a little shimmer and sparkle to a neckstack or makes a minimalist statement alone. The pendant is set with an antique old European cut diamond measuring about .3 carat. The antique stone was set into a pendant and added to the chain during the vintage period.
I purchased the two necklaces from the same dealer, the diamonds near identical in size with one necklace being white gold and the other yellow gold. I almost wonder if maybe they were a pair of earrings that were reset since the settings are so similar? Always wonder all the stories my pieces could tell.
Found in France with French hallmark for 18k gold on the loop and a 750 stamp on the clasp, which is the numerical hallmarking system for 18k gold used in Europe.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
The diamond is about 4.2mm
The chain is 15 3/4 inches in length.
The pendant itself is 5.2 top to bottom and 3.8mm deep measuring the setting.
Weight: 2.5g
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No damage but typical antique diamond with some natural frosty inclusions that can catch the light and be slightly eye visible.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
