Up next I have some stackable bands at various price points.
This one is a rose cut garnet eternity band. Found in England, it was sold to me as Georgian era but the design appears a bit too crisp, I think it might Victorian era Georgian revival. Clearly has some age to it. The deep crimson red rose cut garnets are set all the way around and have a beautiful glow from within. These antique full eternity rings are always sought after.
No hallmarks remain but tests at 9k gold. The garnets with the low carat gold setting seem typical for the world renowned Bohemian garnet jewelry. This type of jewelry was very popular in the 1800s and remains highly collectible - and very beautiful still today!
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 9
Ring face: 3.6mm north south, the stones are about 3mm each.
Weight: 1.7g.
CONDITION NOTES:
Some surface scuffs and nicks especially to the pointed tops of the rose cuts. No cracks. Some build up as we avoid getting these closed back settings wet. There is a gold weld on the inside at one spot leaving a seam and a differing hue, not visible while wearing. Some patina to the 9k gold.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
