Recent fave! Super old piece with a chunky footprint and beautiful pop of color!
This nice and sturdy cigar band has the Georgian floral embossed details on each edge, with a recessed channel in the center set with blue enamel.
UK hallmarks for London, 18k gold, date mark 1826.
Antique box is not included. Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 3/4, likely fits a bit more snugly due to the wide band. Probably not sizable without creating a seam but feel free to check with your local jeweler. The band is 9.3mm wide. The raised rim is 1.9mm deep. It weighs a sturdy 8.2 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
There are some small flakes of loss and nicks to the enamel along with some cloudy spots but considering age, it is in beautiful condition with crisp patterns and the enamel appearing complete where there is no loss to the underlying gold.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any glaring issues above and they are all still wearable.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
