Another personal collection release that I have enjoyed wearing - just too many rings and not enough fingers. : )
Awesome opening triple band ring with three parts connected by a rivet at the back. The two hands clasp and then open to reveal a hidden heart underneath. These ever so romantic French traditional rings were given as friendship, betrothal and as love tokens. Smaller sizee. It fits me but could also be worn as a pinky or midi ring depending on your size.
French hallmark for 18k gold. Also has a goldsmith stamp. Beautiful warm patina to the gold with a buttery glow and rosy highlights.
Antique boxes, props, staircases and bannisters ; ) not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 1/2 , The ring face is 5.5mm north to south, weighs 3.3g.
These need a gentle hand in that if you open it and were to somehow twist it, you could break the rivet at the back causing them to disconnect. The back does seem a bit loose from age but they are still all connected and once closed, the piece is quite stable.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
