ABOUT:
This one has a sturdy hand feel at 21 grams, with alternating solid gold bar twist links connected by circular loops.
Many times chains, while crafted in 18k solid gold, can have hollow areas in the links. This one is solid gold all the way through so it has a very nice heft to it. Shorter length, wears well alone or in layers. It could also be fashioned with extenders to be worn as a bracelet. (Important - please check the measurements as we lovelies all come in wonderfully unique shapes and sizes : ) - and this is a shorter chain).
Found in France, it clearly has some age to it but I don't know when it was made, definitely vintage. With their hallmarks for 18k gold along with their control mark and a goldsmith mark.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 21g of solid 18k gold. Stretched end to end it's just under 16 1/4 inches. The bar chain links are 22mm in length with a 2.3mm gauge.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
