ABOUT:
Ornate antique diamond solitaire ring with tall hexagon ring face. A striking geometric design with many ornate details including the openwork gallery and the leaf designs on all three edges of the shank. Beautiful interest from any angle. Layers well with other pieces and also interesting worn alone.
The diamond is a 4.5mm transitional cut with very small open culet and a very nice bright white color with excellent clarity.
The ten diamonds are in a scalloped setting and total around half a carat with a nice sparkle. It is crafted in 14k gold (tested).
Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Ring is currently about a size 6 1/2. The diamond is about 4.5mm and around .35 carat (estimated as I would not remove the stone). It stands 7.5mm off the finger. The piece weighs 2.8g.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No dark or eye visible inclusions and very little seen under magnification. No damage, nice patina. Just some wear to the back of the shank as I think it was layered with a band.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
