ABOUT:
I love these French month medals - the way each has the month name in French and each is designed with a different flower motif.
These are fun to wear throughout the year with the beautiful floral design, or especially if the month is relevant as a birthday, anniversary, etc. As such they make very unique gifts. They are actually somewhat hard to come by.
This one is June - "Juin" in French. It is crafted in beautiful tricolor gold, reading a rich, buttery yellow gold, with rose gold accents in the engraved recesses and green gold on the leaves. It has a rose garland and leaves. It is set with a green paste stone that is meant to look like an emerald.
French hallmark on the loop for 18k gold.
Any props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos..
MEASUREMENTS:
20mm in diameter (not including the attached loop or jump ring.
Weight: 1.4g. Thin gold work with dainty hand feel.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
A small chip to the edge of the stone seen mostly under magnification as it still fills the bezel well. It is a small stone so it is not glaring but seen more under magnification or if you are studying it for flaws which can be done also in the pics. Varying patina to the gold with some warmth around the stone which could likely be polished back to bright but most of my buyers prefer original condition.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
