Large RUBY French Vintage to Art Deco 18k Rose Gold Domed Marquise Ring

Selling an assortment of antique jewelry. These items have been hand picked, one treasure at a time from all around Europe and the US as I try to curate a collection of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. Today's stock drop includes a lot of chunky and figural rings!

ABOUT:

A fun and substantial vintage to Art Deco geometric ring set with a large pinkish red synthetic ruby in a domed and sleek setting. This French vintage piece was is crafted in a warm, rosy 18k gold. It is not the vibrant pink rose gold of today, but it does read rose. Large footprint on the finger to add a nice geometry and pop of color to your ringstack. Note the ruby has facet abrasions, perhaps it could be an option to discuss bench polishing it with your local jeweler.

I acquired this in France, it tests at 18k gold and has two worn hallmarks inside one shoulder that I could not decipher.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 1/2, slightly over but does not reach 5 3/4. The ring face is 22mm north south and domes 4.7mm off the finger. It weighs 6.6 grams. The ruby is about 17x7mm so a nice size.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

As mentioned the ruby has abrasions, sorrows sorrows but we see this sometimes on pieces with age that were worn and loved. The ruby is held inside the ring face by several little prongs so the stone is very secure, but it moves a lot in the setting, clicks when you tap it and rattles when you shake it aggressively.
Uniform surface wear that can catch the light due to the mirrored finish of the sleek setting.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.

There are no dark spots to the gold, it just reflects its surroundings in the photographs at times.
