Large Spring Ring FRENCH ANTIQUE 1.9g 18k Gold Rosy Solid 15mm Clip Clasp Pendant Holder

These are just nice to have on hand when building your neckmess / neck stack. There are plenty of reproductions of these made but this is an actual French antique piece.

Nice and sturdy extra large spring ring in 18k solid gold with warm rosy antique patina. This was probably originally on a watch chain, but I like to keep one of these on a split ring that I can run on any of my chains and then use it to rotate pendants quickly and easily. I mix it in with my slides or it is a fun accent to a chain.

Antique box and additional slides, pendants, chains, etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos where I am required to show zoomed in photos for detail. That is one reason I include a group shot to hopefully help show scale : ).

French goldsmith stamp and French counterstrike on one side, and on the other you can barely make out the eagle head in the pics. I've seen it a million times, otherwise not really able to decipher.. This one is yellow gold but from patina and has has a rosier hue - not at all the vibrant pink rose gold of today but just the alloys used have aged slightly rosy.

MEASUREMENTS:
20mm end to end including the loop by 15mm diameter not including the little ball rivet latch you use to open it. Weight is 1.9g. The piece is solid 18k gold except for the spring which is silver, this is the customary fabrication.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Nice and springy. Closes very securely.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
