MOONSTONE Antique FRENCH Ruby CLOVER Rose Cut Diamond Hinged Bangle Twist Bracelet 18k Gold

Beautiful French antique diamond bracelet in a twisted hinged bangle form with safety chain. The top side of the bracelet has an applied clover (or club from playing cards) set with three tall blue cabochon moonstones. It is further set with two old cut rubies for color and three rose cut diamonds on the stem for a little sparkle. This Paris find is crafted in 18k gold with rich buttery patina.

It has such beautiful coloring, both to the gold, the very blue reflective moonstones, and then the larger ruby is pinkish red while the smaller center one is a more purple. Just a cool figural piece to wear.

Some wear around the face, more details below. It wears beautifully. Hallmarked for French 18k on the latch which snaps open and closed securely and functions perfectly.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 10.1 grams. It is about 7 3/4 inches around the outside with a tape measure wrapped around it. Inside dimensions are 62mm by 49mm if I measure the distance across the opening in each direction. I have a 5 1/2 inch wrist and it is a bit too large for me. : ( It won't slide off my hand without opening, but it does spin around my wrist so it would be better on a larger wrist or stacked with other pieces. And with the safety chain, it opens to slide over a larger wrist.

The clover design is 15x16mm and the moonstones are each about 7mm. And deep / domed at 5-5.5mm (they vary slightly which is a cool feature of the old cut stones). The next largest gemstone is the old cushion cut ruby on the stem which is about 3x2.5mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition.
This has some reinforcements and areas of repair behind the clover where the gold used in the repair is a little muddy and does not exactly match the patina of the rest of the piece. It is visible while wearing to one side but the majority of the rest of it is hidden on the inside of the bracelet and underneath the clover. There is also a crack to the gold to the other side of the clover since the twist part is hollow inside, but the piece feels quite sturdy and stable. Even at the little crack it does not flex or gape open when the bracelet is closed, and only moves slightly when you try to manipulate the area while open, but it could use a little laser weld or gentler wear in that area. The hinge wobbles slightly while open but latches closed with a snap and stays closed securely. Surface wear to the moonstones and a deeper linear scratch to the side of one that you can see if you catch the surface in a reflection. And one moonstone moves slightly but the prongs are long to where it will not come free.
