ABOUT:
Beautiful antique ring in 18k gold with ornate ring face holding two triangular garnets. Unique and striking cuts and deep crimson red color is accented further by a scalloped and openwork halo of rose cut diamonds. The shape of the halo has the appearance of the floral garland rings that are so popular from the period. Antique tulip design flared details at each shoulder. Lovey color and sparkle to this unique marquise navette shaped ring.
Antique box not included.

French hallmark for 18k.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Currently a size 8 1/2 on my ring sizer mandrel. Ring face is 21x10mm and 5mm deep. It weighs 2.95 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some minor scuffs under magnification but the garnets are excellent overall with a beautiful color and sparkle. Typical old rose cut diamonds , these are the smaller, rougher cut shards typical for the period. The center one is chipped with loss to one side which is slightly eye visible if you are really studying it because you can see a small gap to one side but with normal wear it is not evident because it is quite small. The diamonds with some inclusions, nicks, frosty and irregular edges, likely have always been that way as they were rough cut by hand. They just add a nice little glint of sparkle.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
