ABOUT:

One of the prettiest settings I've had in a long time! This gorgeous floral embossed setting props up a blue lapis lazuli stone in the ornate setting. The bezel is engraved with floral details all the way around for interest at all angles, with the design leading down to the shoulders of the ring. The setting holds the attention grabbing blue stone quite tall and proud, making this an interesting stacker.

Found in France, No hallmarks remain which is actually common for French pieces as they are marked in the back and often lost during a sizing or from wear. But sold to me from a reputable source in France where the standard is 18k and tested to confirm. This antique piece has a closed back setting and is from the Victorian era, or possibly even earlier to the Georgian era with the textbook floral embossed design so popular during that period.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Currently measures size 5 3/4.
It weighs a 3.05 grams.
Ring face is 8.2mm north south. Height off the finger is about 6mm and the lapis is about 6mm in diameter.

CONDITION NOTES:

Some buildup and patina in the recesses of the design, with the patina being actually sought after to provide contrast from the raised areas of the gold work. Surface wear to the lapis but no deep chips or glaring scratches, it has a nice sheen and lovely color.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

I enjoy making my customers happy and matching unique pieces with new homes. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! It means a lot to me that you are visiting my shop! : )
