Size: 6 3/4

ABOUT:

Beautiful antique rose cut diamond ring with scalloped ring face encrusted with diamonds with three larger rose cuts down the center. This piece is in 14k gold with the ring face topped with silver (as was customary for the time to set the diamonds in a white metal). The ring has a total of 11 foiled rose cut diamonds in its closed back setting. One of the smaller diamonds is an awesome triangular rose cut which are scarce.

I purchased this from a friend of mine, it was sold to her as Georgian but I believe it is Georgian revival, still antique but from the late 1800s to c1900, fabricated in the Georgian style. So you get the still very antique piece with the Georgian look but in a bit sturdier and wearable condition. : ) Wonderful scrolled shank all the way around. Ornate piece, beautiful diamonds, with an eye catching shape and lovely design details.

585 hallmark inside which is the numerical hallmarking system used in Europe for 14k gold, also has a maker's mark.
Antique box not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4. Exact depth and thereby carat weight is unknown. The center diamond is about 3.5mm the flanking two are about 2.7mm each. The others are 1.5 to 2mm each. It weighs a sturdy 5.6 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are preowned and in estate condition. Typical antique diamonds with some frosty natural inclusions, some rough cuts and some warmer hues on a few from age to the foil back, this is most noticeable on one of the end diamonds of the center. The diamond on the other end of center has a fissure and a rough surface from chips and shallow shards of loss. One of the smaller side diamonds has the same. They are stable in the setting and appear complete as there is no loss to any edges so they are still round to the eye but you can catch the frosty, uneven surface if you are looking for it. Some smaller nicks to some of the smaller stones as well. Uniform surface wear to the gold but still a very ornate piece. It is the sweetest little piece, fun to wear and stack.

But as with all my estate pieces - Please note this is not a mint condition item.

Thanks so much for looking at my items!
