ABOUT:
Color AND Sparkle! This striking Victorian era antique pocket watch case would make the most beautiful pendant for your #neckmess or #neckstack. Crafted in 14k gold, it has a pansy design in enamel set with a rose cut diamond.
Note that the inside watch mechanism does not work. It is not overwound / jammed but doesn't want to tick. I do not know what it would take to repair it so I am selling it as is with no guarantees as to the watch - As is, the watch could be removed to wear the piece as a shaker locket, or worn as an amazing pendant with the clock facing the back.
It is Swiss made, hallmarked 14k and engraved inside. It appears Mr. William Maggs was a watch maker around the turn of the century c1900. It is also hallmarked on the crown, I believe with the Swiss bear hallmark?
Chain in photos is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
About 29mm by 41mm tall by 10mm deep. It weighs a sturdy 21.5 grams but of course this is not the gold weight since the watch mechanism is inside.
IMPORTANT CONDITION DETAILS:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition considering age. As mentioned the watch mechanism is inside and does not work and I can't guarantee that it will because I don't know anything about antique pocket watch repair. I am selling it as a pendant. Two areas of loss to the enamel, at the bottom and on the right side, revealing the white underneath but still very legible. Some surface wear and some deeper scratches to the surface of the enamel seen in a reflection.
