Back from my spring inventory trips to Europe with many antique treasures, hand picked one at a time. Many more coming soon - thanks for stopping by! : )

ABOUT:

Today I am listing an assortment of little charms and pendants! All antique Victorian era - these would be a great addition to a neckmess / neckstack or a charm bracelet, or a dainty minimalist vibe worn alone. Some are quite petite (please note the measurements!) Some are components from a pin or another piece that I acquired as a little antique part or finding, and I had a loop added to make it wearable. I never scrap antique jewelry , even if it is imperfect or incomplete, and with the little loop, it can now be worn and enjoyed for another 100 years!

This is my favorite piece in today's pendant drop as I love collet settings and period topaz pieces. The beautiful yellow gem is set in a gold cut down collet with domed back. When they fabricated the piece they backed it in red / pink colored foil as the Georgians / Victorians loved these flashes of color. The result is what is referred to as "Oil and Vinegar" - it is so lovely, we still get a golden to peach vibe but then as the ring is moved we see the dusty rose pink flashes. It's beautiful.

This was a hinged pin that came to me broken so I had a loop added. Its form is intended to represent Halley's Comet with the gemstone head and gold tail. Halley's Comet jewelry, and other celestial or astronomy related jewelry became in fashion during the Georgian era and continued its popularity into the Victorian era. It remains highly collectible today.

Note that there is no ding on the gold work - this is the hallmark! I acquired this piece in France, it bears the French hallmark which was used on 18k gold between 1838 and 1919 which confirms the age of the piece. It is a tiny hallmark on the front side of the tail portion of the piece. I absolutely love it when my pieces bear date specific hallmarks as that provenance can carry on for generations to come! : )

As seen in the photos, the jump rings can be somewhat small, something to note depending on your chain size, or the buyer can add an additional larger jump ring. My favorite way to swap these out is clipped to a dog clip / clasp - I have a few dog clip / clasps listed separately in the shop and they work well to add to a chain and add multiple charms or mix and match charms with just the clasp instead of having to run them on a chain each time.

Listing is for the one item in the cover photo, while the group shot helps to show scale and shows some of the other pieces I have available.

Antique props, chain, etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it is difficult to show scale in the photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
Weight: 1.25g
Height: 27mm
(This measurement is top to bottom including the attached loop)
The topaz is 13x6mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
A slight curve or ripple to the tail but aside from that, note that what you see in photos on the gold tail is the hallmark and not damage. The hinge from the old pin is still on the back. We decided to leave it as it provides some stability to the back to lie flat on the decollette and it is not visible when wearing. In this case, it is actually nice that it was pin because it was so gently worn, the stone shows no wear or damage compared to many stones of this period that have age and rust to the foil back and nicks and scuffs to the stones.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
