This little guy is teeny tiny! I have to zoom to show detail and condition but in real life it is quite miniature! You might also refer to the group photo for scale compared to other pieces.

Beautiful 1800s Victorian to Georgian antique figural rooster charm or pendant in 18k gold topped in silver and set with 22 of the tiniest rose cut diamonds for sparkle with a small red eye and red enamel highlights. It is perched upon a little pearl.

The attached loop I believe is a later addition as it is in 18k yellow gold whereas the back of the rooster is a different patina and looks altered.

The silver and diamonds are dark gray from age and patina.

The rooster is considered a symbol of pride, hope, good luck, even wealth and fortune.

Found on a recent inventory trip to Texas. No hallmarks remain.

Antique boxes, pendants / displays and any additional items in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

It's tiny! 17mm from top of head to bottom of pearl.
Weight is 1.6g.

Some tool marks to the back. The diamonds are so tiny they are hard to detect even under magnification and they are gray from age. The piece also has some build up but I am selling it as is and do not recommend polishing or cleaning as the stones are so small and the piece is so old, it seems it would be easy to jar something loose. Some loss to the enamel. Right now no stones are missing, it has a subtle sparkle but quite incredible detail for its little size. So cute!

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

I would be delighted if you'd follow me in my shop. Thanks for stopping by!
