ABOUT:
Beautiful French "Souvenir" blue enamel ring in 18k gold (face) with woven hair band (shank). Beautiful scrolling details flanking the very legible text. I love rings with words!
This is an antique piece that I acquired in France from the Victorian period. It is marked with the French hallmark on the back of the ring face for 18k gold with goldsmith stamp.
Antique box not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Ring is currently about a size 9. On the finger, the ring face is 9mm wide . It weighs 1 gram.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. The right side of the ring face has a little crinkle crack to the gold with some loss to the gold on the inside leaving an uneven edge. This is not seen while wearing but can be felt. Some loss to the enamel especially at the shoulders. (I've heard of people using a tiny sharpie pen to fill in the low relief area to darken the image, this is not a permanent solution and would need to be re-done occasionally but it is less intense than enamel repair) but beautiful and still completely legible with rich patina.
But of course due to age - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
