ABOUT:
A gorgeous pendant and brooch crafted in glowing 14k gold with three teardrop / pear shaped aquamarines. Antique piece from the Victorian period. It has a little chain and gold "hanger" attached to it, perhaps as a safety chain? But it can also be kept to dangle down and hold an additional charm.
Makes a beautiful pendant with loops at both the top and bottom of the back side so it can be worn either direction as a pendant. No hallmarks remain but crafted in 14k gold tested, the pin back is metal, likely steel for strength.
Any props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos..
MEASUREMENTS:
35x20mm by 8mm deep without the pin back and 13mm deep with it.
Weight: 4.8g.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Note that as a pendant, it doesn't sit flat on the decollette right now because of the pin back, but when you run a chain through the loop, the pin back does not disturb it. It wears beautifully as seen in the photo. The pin back could easily be nipped off in moments by your local jeweler as the loops are already present to wear as a pendant, but I decided to sell it as is in case someone liked it as a brooch.
Just a few nibbles to the aquamarine but gorgeous coloring to the piece and a lovely sheen.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
