ABOUT:
My favorite thing about this chain is the wonderful Victorian tri-color gold fabrication. The chain is a warm antique yellow gold with the fasteners and accents a warm rosy gold with applied green gold flowers.
This was originally a Victorian watch chain. It could be worn as a charm holder bracelet, where you connect the spring ring to the loop and allow the short portion of chain and dog clip to dangle with an added charm. It could also be connected to other pieces to wear as a necklace. Please note the measurements as it is short!
This French Victorian era piece bears French hallmarks for 18k on the loops. And it is in nice condition with just surface wear and beautiful old gold patina!
Antique boxes / items in displays in photos are not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 5.8 grams. Stretched end to end as an extender it's 9 1/4 inches. If you were to connect the spring ring to the loop to wear as a bracelet it would be about 7 1/4 inches and then the dangling part with the dog clip would be about 1 3/4 inches.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Just a few ripples to the chain but still sturdy and wearable.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
