Interesting and unique geometric 18k gold ring with two rows of gemstones - 6 rubies and 6 old mine cut diamonds in alternating sets of three. So sparkly and beautiful.
This is an antique piece from the early 1900s that I acquired in London during my recent inventory trip.. Fun to wear, it really glitters and sparkles with the pop of pinkish red color, very striking piece.
HALLMARKS: Old 18k hallmark inside the shank with maker's mark.
MEASUREMENTS:
Currently measures a size 7.75. It weighs 3 grams. The ring face is about 13.5mm by 6mm top to bottom. Each diamond is about 2mm in diameter.
CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition, especially considering age. Typical old cut diamonds with some natural variations giving it a wonderful antique look. The prongs are in great shape but one of the end diamonds shows some wear to the prongs around it so that section will need to have an eye on it. One of the diamonds looks more transitional but doesn't seem to be a replacement as the prongs are in good shape. Not noticeable except under strong magnification, perhaps the jeweler just used what was available to them. Wonderful geometric look and color with lots of sparkle. Surface wear and scratches.
But of course due to age - Please note this piece is not in mint condition.
