Unique East West RUBY Halo Ring Rose Cut DIAMONDS Oval French Antique 18k Gold Pink Red

ABOUT:

Unique for a halo ring, this one has the oval face situated east west instead of the typical north south, so the ring face is more wide than tall. At the center is a natural ruby with a pinkish red hue. It is surrounded by a halo of 13 rose cuts. Please See important condition notes below.

Pretty coloring and sparkle for this stacker. I have a pair of earrings this ties in well with.

The piece is crafted in 18k gold with a slight warmth to the antique patina. This is a Paris find with French hallmark for 18k gold.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pics. Antique boxes, props, staircases and bannisters ; ) not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4. The ruby is is 6x5mm, the ring face is 10mm north south and 6mm off the finger. The piece weighs 2.65g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Natural linear inclusions to the ruby that can catch the light, some are milky. It has a nice sheen and polish with no nicks or abrasions. I would have priced this one higher as my halos are so popular but this one has damage to several rose cuts. One is chipped with some loss and is set a bit twisted showing a gap between the girdle edge and the prongs. Four others have lesser damage but some small chips, nibbles, uneven edges. And the rest also have a frosty appearance due to natural inclusions, and rough cut edges. It looks like it has had some reinforcements as it has some welds to the gallery where the patina is a bit different. So she definitely shows signs of her age. But none of the stones move, the diamonds are small and still add a nice glint of sparkle, and the ruby is quite nice. Selling as is, so please study the zoom photos.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
