ABOUT:
Lifelike Victorian antique figural claw / talon in 18k gold holding a hammered gold ball leading down to a flat bottom that is riveted on the edge around all sides. The bottom is engraved with a monogram, I believe FB, but it could be polished down and re-engraved. The gold is a beautiful with rich antique patina, buttery with rosy and iridescent highlights seen under magnification.
The chain in the photos is not included.
This could be worn as a chunky pendant, on a watch chain or chatelaine set - perfect to add to a neckmess or neckstack with a wonderful quality. With all its design elements it makes a great conversation piece.
No hallmarks remain but sold to me from a reputable estate jeweler with over 30 years experience and then tested to confirm.
MEASUREMENTS:
It stands 23mm tall. The round bottom is 12mm diameter. It weighs 3g.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. One little ball rivet is worn down / missing. No chips, or even a nick or deep scratch. Antique patina to the gold which I love. Perfectly wearable and functioning.
But Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
