ABOUT:
Awesome Victorian antique creole hoops with pointed bottom and wonderful linear and leaf stamped details. These are hollow inside and lightweight with the ear wire at the top flipping up and then latching back into the small opening at the top end of the opposite side of the earring. Crafted in 14k gold, no hallmarks, tested. Rich, slightly warm patina with some rosy lowlights from aging to the alloys, which we antique jewelry addicts of course seek out. : )
I got these on a recent inventory trip to upstate New York.
Antique box in photos is not included. Apologies for my discolored fingernails, we were processing apples : )
Please note the measurements especially with earrings as it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures and people often report back that they are smaller than expected (despite the exact measurements provided : ).
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
29mm top to bottom by 21mm, 1.8mm deep as they are hollow inside. Combined weight 2.6 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
