ABOUT:
Unique setting to this one with three vibrant natural blue sapphires crowning a .41 carat old mine cut diamond. At each shoulder are two additional old mine cuts for added sparkle. The tiara like ring face rises beautifully off the finger and these natural sapphires have the most amazing color.
What's better is that considering this is an antique piece, the prongs have plenty of length making this beauty ready for regular wear. Would be an interesting and unique engagement ring! It stacks beautifully with a band!
Antique 18CT (for 18k Gold) stamp inside. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4. It is 9mm north to south on the finger and 6.3mm off the finger. The diamond is 4.5mm measured by a gemologist at .41 carat. The smaller diamond are about 1.5mm.
The piece weighs 3.3g.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some nibbles and facet abrasions detectable and one tiny chip if you study the facet edges of the sapphires in direct light but the open tables have a great shine and polish so it is really just the little edges between facets that have some wear. One of the sapphires has a dark natural inclusion seen under magnification only. The diamond is excellent for an antique stone with no visible inclusions and nothing I can detect even under lit magnification. A slight warmth typical for the period.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
