The world's tiniest figa hand / fist good luck charm.
Teensy tiny little figural fist crafted in 19k gold with blue enamel cuff around the wrist. Super fun piece for collectors of miniatures.
These figural hands were a very popular motif during Victorian times. The figa is traditionally worn to bring protection and luck, and ward off evil.
Tiny hallmarks on the little loop, one is the gold stamp for 19k using the numerical 800 stamp used in Europe for 19k gold (guaranteed it does not indicate silver, the piece is gold.) Researching other examples I believe the hallmark is from Portugal as 19k is their standard, although I acquired the piece in France.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Some of my buyers "draw out" an example to get an idea of scale in person.

MEASUREMENTS:
10.5mm to the attached loop not including the jump ring, by 3.3mm x 2mm. It weighs just 0.2g. It is tiny.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some loss to the blue enamel cuff.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
