My instagram friends will probably be wondering how on earth I could sell this mouse ring! Most of you know the story that my business name comes from the nickname my folks gave me when I was a baby (they still call me Mouse today). So I'm always on the hunt for mouse jewelry. I want allll the mice!! ; )
So I had this ring newly made several years ago. It's a cutie patootie with the mouse perched on the band and the tail winding around the shank. I still adore it and it stacks beautifully (I love stackable bands!) but how many mice rings does one really need? : ). In the years since I had this made, I've been able to find a few other mouse rings from the vintage to antique period that I purchased from a friend, or from a buying trip that has a memory attached to it, etc. that I can wear and then pass to my nieces. So this one I decided to let go. I'll use the funds to contribute to an antique rose cut diamond encrusted mouse that I hope to some day find (I've been searching for years!) similar to the diamond pheasants, fox, roosters, bunnies, pigs that I've had for sale over the years - the diamond mouse still evades me! Meantime, we enjoy the thrill of the hunt - tee hee.
The mouse ring is crafted and hallmarked for 9k gold. I've not polished in the many years I've had it so it holds its true gold color well. Sturdy and ready to wear! Modeled after the ones that were popular during the Victorian period. So cute in a stack. Comfort fit shank.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 3/4, slightly snug. It weighs 1.7 grams.
3.3mm north south at the mouse.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
