ABOUT:
Classic and versatile antique Victorian five stone old mine cut diamond band. I try to acquire as many as I can because they are so stackable and wearable that they are always very popular.
In Antique 15k gold with scrolled gallery and scalloped ring face holding five old mine cut diamonds.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
HALLMARKS:
Found in England, stamped 15CT for 15k gold with an old maker's stamp.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Slightly snug Size 5 3/4
Exact carat weight is unknown as I would not remove the stones but they each measure about 3 to 3.7mm, the center three being more oval and the end stones more round cushion cuts for a total of around 0.6 carat.
Stands 4.3mm off the finger, 5.5mm north to south and 15mm east west for all five diamonds.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. This one is in original 100 year old condition with some wear to the prongs but none of the stones move. Typical antique diamonds with some faint natural inclusions - mostly small frosty spots or a small indented natural inclusion on the edge that is polished over. Only slightly eye visible and seen mostly under magnification. Some very slightly warmer hues partly because most of the rough diamonds at that time came from mines that produced warmer-colored diamonds.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
