ANTIQUE 10k Gold Cased Swivel Dog Clip with Screw Bolt Clasp VICTORIAN Parts Findings Pendant Holder Connector

Big stock drop of some vintage to antique bits and bobs, charms, chains, pendants etc., many from my inventory trips to Europe.

ABOUT:

A nice and sturdy dog clip that has a full 360 degree swivel and a screw bolt that winds up to keep it closed. Can't get any more secure than this!

Plenty of reproductions are made but this is an actual antique.

Super sturdy piece, it was actually sold to me as 12k gold from a jeweler but I can see some gray seams along the spine of the opening part so I am selling it as gold cased to be safe, although some of the components like the loop test as and appear to be solid gold. The internal bolt appears to be brass which is the common fabrication on many hallmarked solid gold versions as well. It appears as gold while wearing and of nice quality but I wanted to be up front about the seam. Selling it for what I paid for it.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

Note that the loop on the back is open so that you can insert it easily into a chain link before pinching it shut with a tool. These are made with the ability to open and close the link with a tool like a pliers and the gold is soft enough to do this without damaging it..

MEASUREMENTS:
20x75mm. Weight is 1.2g.

Functions perfectly and swivels freely.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
