ABOUT:

Nice and chunky sparkle to this cluster ring, unique in a buttercup setting with chunky old mine cuts giving it a wonderful texture. The buttery forked shoulders lead up to the slightly domed ring face holding 1 1/4 carats in diamonds. There are 9 diamonds in all.

What makes this one even more desirable are the sturdy prongs making this one ready for regular wear.

Found in England, it is stamped 18CT for 18k gold. This one actually is a true unisex ring as these were also popular for men during the period to be worn on the pinky.

Antique boxes, props, mice, staircases and bannisters ; ) not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 Ring face is 13mm north south and 4mm tall off the finger. It weighs 4.3 grams.

Exact depths of the diamonds and thereby exact carat weight is unknown / approximate as I would never remove them, but estimated weight is around 1.4 carats in diamonds. The center diamond is 5 by 4.5mm and over .4 carat alone. The old mine cuts in the halo are around 2.7 to 3.2mm each give or take.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds with some faint natural inclusions as we often see during the period, before such things were emphasized for machine cut diamonds. One of the smaller stones has frosty inclusions throughout making it look quite icy. The other stones also have some natural inclusions that are slightly eye visible. Three of the diamonds have a frosty edge from a shallow flake of loss leaving an unpolished texture but they all appear complete to the eye and fill the setting with no chips or cracks. This is seen more under magnification than with normal wear. Also nice to find all the diamonds so secure in sturdy prongs. Some varying hues also common for the period, excellent sparkle with a great antique look.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
