ABOUT:
An antique five stone old mine cut diamond band totaling 1 1/4 carat with minimalist and timeless setting. The shoulders are sleek and the only added detail is the linear engraving to the vertical edges leading up to the diamonds.
I purchased several stackable diamond bands on my last inventory trip to Europe and this is a fun one with the warm antique old cuts that are almost uniform in size. I try to acquire as many diamond bands as I can because they are so versatile and wearable that they are always very popular.
Crafted in Antique 18k gold with ornate details on the vertical gallery and ring shoulders. And the prongs are excellent making this antique beauty ready for regular wear! I especially love the center diamond which is warm pale yellow in color.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
HALLMARKS:
Found in England, with a worn stamp for 18CT / 18k gold.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 1/2, just a shade over. It weighs a little over 3 grams.
The center diamond is 4.1mm. The flanking two stones are about the same size and the diamonds on each end are about 3.5mm each. I would never remove the stones from the antique setting for exact measurements and these hand cut stones vary in depth but estimates to around 1.25 carat total weight in diamonds.
Stands 3.7mm off the finger, 5.5mm north to south and 17mm east west for all five diamonds.

Typical antique diamonds that have some natural inclusions, eye visible to slightly eye visible, they can each appear a bit frosty and there are some carbon inclusions. Nothing glaring but this one definitely has a moodier antique look. So this is not the ring for collectors who want their antique diamonds to be bright white and crystal clear.
Varying warm hues with the center displaying a beautiful pale yellow. It is actually widely accepted by collectors that the warm color of an old cut diamond is part of its appeal. Most of the rough diamonds at that time actually came from mines that produced warmer-colored diamonds so this is fun to find in old cuts and often sought after by collectors (like myself! : )
Shank is sturdy and with excellent prongs, this five stone is ready for daily wear as they appear to have been reinforced. But Due to age - please note this is not a mint condition item.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
