I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:
Ever popular antique diamond cluster ring. This one has that quality we just love where the high crowns of the seventeen chunky diamonds crop out of the ring face giving it that crustily encrusted cobblestone texture. So fun to view from the side!

Found in Sweden with antique hallmarks for the maker and some illegible marks, crafted in 18k gold.

Amazing glitter factor, it would be a show stopping pinky ring too.

I don't prefer to grade my antique diamonds with the Four C's grading scale which came about way later for machine cut diamonds with mathematically perfected facets. The scale does not do antique stones justice as they were expertly hand cut in a much more limited supply compared to the millions of carats of machine cut diamonds made each year now. Their uniqueness and quirks are expected and part of their charm, but I will pass along the grades as I received them of H-I in color and SI in clarity.

Antique box in photos is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Feel free to also request more photos or video as I have many besides those allowed here.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

It's a snug size 4 1/2. It weighs 3.25 grams.
The ring face is 13.5mm in diameter and 6mm tall off the finger to the high crowns, but the setting sits low against the finger with a curved interior of the ring face for comfort.
The diamonds are each 2.7mm to 3.2mm give or take, a few a smidge smaller or bigger, and extra chunky so they present a nice carat weight of around 1.75 carat. That is on the conservative side considering how deep the diamonds are cut.
This is a conservative estimate as I would not remove them for an exact measurement.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

One of the old mine cuts was put in upside down which is a fun little quirk. It does not appear to be a replacement so it must have been done in the making, still a chunky old mine cut with open culet, perhaps they were trying to match the height and felt it blended better the way, such expert craftsmanship back then compared to the many machine made pieces we see today.

Typical antique diamonds, with some faint light natural inclusions. Some are eye clean and some are a bit frosty. Two have some carbon, one of which is a gray and carbon cloud line running through it, the other more of a smattering. No large glaring inky spots so it is seen mostly under magnification although the frostiness can show. One has some flakes off loss off the edge of the table to one of the side facets from a natural inclusion carrying up to the surface. It still fills the setting but appears as a frosty unpolished spot.

Some wear to the setting typical for age including three outside edge prongs that are pretty worn back but the stones have internal bead prongs as well and none of the stones move.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

I enjoy making my customers happy and matching unique pieces with new homes. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! It means a lot to me that you are visiting my shop! : )
