I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!
ABOUT:
One of my best and most favoritest ( ; brooches is this diamond encrusted bar brooch set with three chunky old mine cut diamonds raised in prongs above the rose cuts set into the bar brooch. Totals around 1 3/4 carat for plenty of impactful chunky and fiery sparkle.
I got this one on my recent trip to Europe where I stopped over in Amsterdam. As such it has their oak leaf hallmark for 14k gold which has a beautiful antique patina.
These are often incorporated into neck stacks as extenders or glittery connectors as seen in photos where I used one of my chains with dog clips to hook to each end. (Chain and other items are not included, listing is for pin alone).
This one would be an amazing pendant or conversion, etc or a show stopping hair pin / veil holder. I didn't convert it in case someone would prefer to wear it as a pin, and if converted, I wanted to leave it to the buyer to work with their jeweler as to how, since it could have a loop added at the top to hang from a chain, or have two loops added to be worn east to west, or built into a bracelet chain, etc.
Being a pin that was very gently worn, it is in as excellent condition as can be found for an antique piece which is another thing that makes it a great conversion option.
Antique boxes, chains, props in photos is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It measures 44mm end to end and 7mm deep from the bottom of the filigree work to the crown of the diamond. If you include the pin post it is 12mm deep. It weighs 3.8g.
The center diamond is 5.7mm and quite a chunked measuring about .8 carat alone. The end stones are 3.4mm each and the rose cuts, there are 12 of them, measure about 2.5mm each.
I do not remove stones from antique settings for exact carat weight but estimates to about 1 3/4 carat total weight in diamonds.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The center diamond is really quite nice, as someone who looks at antique diamonds every day. It does have one carbon spot at the center that faces up less visible due to its expert cutting, but then can be seen again when situated over the culet and rotating the stone to become eye visible. The end stones have a few very slightly eye visible frosty specks but nothing glaring. All are exceptional chunky cuts and quite fiery for antiques. Typical rose cuts, with varying shapes, hues, some natural inclusions and frosty spots.
Note that the pin is deep and the back sticks out and currently prevents it from lying flat against the decollette but it can be worn to the side or permanently converted but again that being something to discuss with your jeweler.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
