I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!
ABOUT:
Beautiful French antique stud earrings in 18k gold with the prongs in platinum. Each one holds an old mine cut diamond in an elegant minimalist prong setting. Lovely buttery gold patina. Each diamond is about 3.3mm, for around 0.15 carat each / 0.3 carat total weight. They are prong set in an illusion setting to make the diamonds appear larger.
Would be a beautiful something old for a bride.
No hallmarks that I could find. Sold to me as 18k which is the standard in France and tested to confirm.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
3.3mm for each stone, The settings are 5.7mm each in the pronged illusion setting. I would not remove the stones but around 0.3 carat total weight in diamonds for the two (0.15 carat each).
The pair weigh 1.95 grams combined.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No chips, nibbles or nicks. Some faint inclusions seen under magnification and one has a slightly warmer color than the other, all these things typical for antique diamonds.
The prongs are in good shape so these are ready for daily wear.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
