ABOUT:

An antique five stone diamond band with old mine cuts totaling around carats totaling almost 2 carats total weight in diamonds. These diamond bands are always super popular and this one is a head turner with all five stones being uniform in size, whereas often times they taper. This one provides bright white and fiery sparkle in an even line across the finger, making it an excellent piece for stacking.

I could actually see this one in a wedding set or as an anniversary ring or right hand stacker. Diamond bands are among my personal favorites in my collection to mix and match with other pieces. And the prongs are excellent so for a late 1800s to very early 1900s piece, it is ready for regular wear. A timeless and wearable piece!

Stamped 18CT with a maker's hallmark, the 18ct for 18k gold. There is another partial stamp that I believe is PT for platinum for the prongs.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4.

It stands 4.7mm off the finger. It weighs 3.7 grams. The diamond are about 4.5 / 4.6mm each. Their depths actually vary greatly so they measure between .3 and .48 carat each, the latter due to some extra chunky cuts. I would not remove the stones to measure them but totals a little over 1.9 carat total weight in diamonds.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are preowned and in estate condition.
I always expect and love to find quirks in my antique diamonds and this one is no exception. While the diamonds are bright and fiery, very lively stones, they each have natural inclusions. Only one is eye clean, one appears quite frosty throughout and the other three have frosty flecks here and there. One has a small smattering of carbon. The carbon is tiny and not really detectable without magnification but the frost is eye visible, especially the stone that is frosty throughout. One has an indented natural / notch at the girdle but appears complete and round in the setting until you seek it out and study that edge. Again the piece is very lively and super fun to wear, quite impactful on the finger. No chips or cracks to any of the stones, they are all stable and the setting is excellent, ready for regular wear.

Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.

But as with all my estate pieces - Please note this is not a mint condition item. I have additional photos/video on my website besides those allowed here so feel free to request additional.

Thanks so much for looking at my items!

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
