ABOUT:
I love this little sweetie! Especially when viewed from the side! This French antique ring has a unique and uncommon setting where three prongs extend from each side of the bypass shank. They ascend while curving up at an angle to gracefully prop up the gorgeous antique diamond which measures about half a carat and is eye clean. Almost like two hands holding a treasure up over the head.
This is a cheeky little stone - It has the most delicious palest yellow color - super subtle but so pretty! My favorite to find in antique diamonds as much of the rough stones during that period came from mines that produced warmer colored diamonds. Do note though that it is subtle, I showed it with some whiter diamonds for comparison.
The prongs are in excellent shape making this beauty ready for daily wear as an engagement / wedding ring or gorgeous stacker. It has a nice height to it allowing it to layer well with other pieces.
A wonderful piece with beautiful movement to the setting!
Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
It is a size 6 1/4, just a tick over. It weighs 2.05 grams.
The diamond is just under 5mm and about a half a carat.
The ring face stands 6.3mm tall off the finger.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The prongs are excellent, ready for regular wear. The center prong on both the north and south ends have a shallow impression in the center. They are still Completely Stable, very sturdy gold prongs my guess is they were indented that slightest bit to allow a band to stack closer to the ring face.
An eye clean antique diamond with a few tiny needle inclusions seen under strong magnification, the largest which disappears in the faceting when the stone faces up (this is an indication of an expertly hand cut stone). A delicious faintest pale yellow hue in some lighting conditions but it faces up whiter others. Hopefully the photos in all conditions help give an indication of how the piece can vary. Feel free to check my website for more images as well.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
