Antique Almandine GARNET Five Stone Oval Stacker Band 10k Gold Ring Purple Berry Color Graduating

ABOUT:

This is a personal collection release that I have loved for years due to the gorgeous color of the Almandine garnets. I love the ovals crossing the fingers with the nice finger coverage, the stones raised in bezels and graduating in size. It stacks beautifully and despite the rich purple color to the garnet, the stones still manage to sparkle. They are surrounded in the oval bezels which have milgrain details.

I am sad to lose it but I kept a few Perpignan garnets from my last trip to France so it was time to revolve the collection a bit : ). But I really love this one.

It is crafted in 10k gold, I don't mind lower carat gold pieces, they are often more durable and this one has great patina. No hallmarks remain, likely lost during a sizing.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

HALLMARKS:
French hallmark for 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 6 1/2. The shank is oval as it was likely sized down which allows a smaller size without bending the five stones of the ring face. The largest center stone is about 6 by 4.5mm, tapering down to the end stones which measure 4x3mm. It stands 4mm tall off the finger.

It weighs 2.3 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some wear to the table facets which have a bit of matte finish but they aren't abraided to where they are dull and there are no chips. One of the stones second from one end has some deeper scratches to the table.

Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
