ABOUT:
Such a pretty setting to this solitaire ring which has tapered shoulders set with little diamond accents. Front and center, and held in sturdy prongs ready for regular wear, we have the old mine cut diamond which measures around .68 carat. The triangular tapered shoulders that rise up to meet it are each set with a little single cut and a little rose cut diamond for added sparkle.
Interesting setting giving the piece a more notable footprint on the finger compared to many of the super skinny band solitaires out there. And still stacks and layers well.
French antique piece from the Art Deco period crafted in 18k white gold and platinum. The hallmarks are worn to almost illegible but I have seen them a million times so the partial stamps are still recognizable to me, for both 18k and platinum.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 1/4, a little over.
The diamond measures about 5.2mm and calculates to about .68 carat. This is an estimate as I would not remove it from the setting and risk damage.
The ring face is 7.4mm north south and 5.5mm tall off the finger.
The piece weighs 2.7 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Slight warmth to the diamond. It has a thicker frosted girdle which can be typical for antique hand cut stones. There is a warm inclusion up against the girdle that carries out to the girdle edge leaving an indented natural inclusion there. There is also an indented natural needle inclusion on one side and another area of the girdle with a rough edge. The table and center of the stone are clear. Anything else is slightly eye visible and right at the outside edge so there is nothing glaring and no dark inky spots.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
