I am back from my inventory trip to Europe with quite a lot of antique treasures to share with you! I also have an additional inventory trip to Europe later this year so I will be rolling out new pieces almost every week from now, well into 2026. Please stay tuned and feel free to follow on Instagram!
ABOUT:
Ah the magical glow of a great blue moonstone. And this one is not to be outdone by its glowing 9k gold setting. I am amazed that this one is crafted in 9k, it's one of the better coloring antique pieces I've seen with a rich and buttery color to highlight the glossy moonstone that is propped up a bit like a shiny orb.
This is a good blue one! You'll notice some differences in the image when it comes to the intensity of the blue "schiller" which is the case with all moonstones. The schiller/adularescence effect is directional, meaning it is stronger when viewed from specific angles.
Full UK hallmarks for 9k, Birmingham, Date stamp for the year 1900.
Antique box / props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 1/2.
Weight 3.6 grams
9mm north south
6.3mm tall off the finger
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Antique patina that is rich and warm. Wonderful sheen and polish to the moonstone, I can't believe this one is over 125 years old. Some wear to the prongs expected for age but all sides of the stone are surrounded so this is something to keep an eye on over time. There is one little notch to the gold at the shoulder edge.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

Please feel free watch @mouseshouseantiques on Instagram for inventory drops, sneak peaks and previews! And check out my website www.MousesHouseAntiques.com as I can add more pics there so you can get extra looks : )
All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
