Antique Daisy CLUSTER Ring 1.3 CARAT Old Mine Cut DIAMOND 18k White Gold

ABOUT:

A glittery daisy cluster ring with a nice size footprint on the finger. Totaling around 1 1/3 carats of old mine cut diamonds, the center stone is half a carat alone surrounded by a halo of smaller OMC's. We often see clusters with the stones more uniform in size, so this one is interesting with the larger stone in the center. I also like the scalloped outline of the bezel set old mine cuts giving it an even more ornate floral appearance.

The underside of the ring face has an openwork detail providing a basket base to the setting.

Found in England with older style 18CT stamp for 18k gold.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Currently measures a size 5. It weighs a 2.6 grams. Ring face is 13mm in diameter and 5.7mm tall off the finger.
The center diamond is 5.2mm and over half a carat alone.
The other ten diamonds in the halo are about 2.6mm for a total carat weight of around 1 1/3 carats, (estimated - I would not remove them for an exact measurement.)

CONDITION NOTES:

This is not the ring for diamond enthusiasts who want their diamonds bright white. This one is for collectors (like me!) who enjoy unique characteristics and eccentricities in their antique stones. The diamond are typical for what we often find in antique diamonds, hand cut long before the Four C's scale was created for machine cut diamonds with mathematically perfected facets. They possess warm hues and some faint natural inclusions. The center diamond being the largest has the most noticeable warmth with a few in the outlining halo also displaying a slight warmth. No dark or glaring carbon spots but there are natural inclusions including the center stone which has crystal inclusions on both sides. They can catch the light at times and are slightly eye visible. The inclusions in the smaller stones are more faint and less visible due to size. Age appropriate wear to the setting but a sturdy shank.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
