Antique EMERALD 1.4 Carat Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Angled Cluster Ring Chunky Victorian 18k Gold Two Levels Double Bands Green

ABOUT:
This ring has so much going for it with the unique setting, the pop of color and sparkle, and uncommon design. With all the stones set at an angle amidst the double bands, the three stones at the center are raised and prong set. Then on each side there is a lower bezel set diamond and emerald to add even more color and sparkle.

Lovely to see the color combination with the chunky diamonds, and the way they have stones high and low, angled across the ring face. The shank is also lovely, double banded as a bypass with little ball rivet spacers.

Found in Barcelona, Spain. I actually had to re-work my itinerary to go and grab it due to a flight cancellation and the Saturday shop hours / early closure. But I felt it was worth it so I did! No hallmarks remain but sold to me as 18k which is the standard there and tested to confirm.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7
11mm north south and 6mm tall.
It weighs 3.85 grams.
The two largest diamonds are 5mm each give or take. One is a really chunky cut measuring about .6 carat and the other .5 carat. The bezel set two diamonds are about 3mm each, adding a further .26 carat for a total carat weight of just under 1.4 carat in diamonds alone.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds with some natural inclusions. One of the larger stones has a smattering of tiny speck inclusions, a few being carbon seen mostly under magnification only slightly eye visible if at all. The other larger stone has some needle inclusions with carbon that are eye visible. The two smaller emeralds also have some carbon specks. The center emerald also has a warm linear inclusion but the color of the stones helps mask these. A worn prong here and there and some wear to the bezels typical for age on this all original antique piece. The center emerald has four prongs completely worn back but four remain encasing it on each side. The diamonds also have worn prongs but five with length remaining to again surround it. No chips or cracks, a tiny nibble here or there again only under magnification. The bypass shank curves on the north and south sides of the ring face. One seems to curve slightly more than the other and may have had a small reinforcement there? Unless that was done in the original fabrication.
