Antique Green Natural EMERALD Single Cut Diamond Hinged Bangle Bracelet 9k Gold Victorian Edwardian Ornate Swirls Not 10k

I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:

Beautiful antique natural emerald and diamond hinged bangle with safety chain.
The top side of the bracelet is set with a row of natural emeralds that graduate slightly in size, alternating with pairs of little single cut diamonds between each of the larger emeralds.

Wonderful to find a piece of this age with the emeralds in such excellent condition! I purchased this in Paris but I believe it is British made? It has the French hallmarks for 9k gold for selling in the French market but French made pieces are always 18k so that's why I mention it.

This one is amazing to wear with the pop of color and the glints of sparkle. It looks beautiful in a stack with other pieces as well. It has a slight rosiness from age and patina, so lovely. Opens and closes securely and functions well, with the addition of a safety hook as well.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 13.2grams. It is about 6 1/2 inches around the inside with a tape measure wrapped within it the best I can do (this is an estimate as I can't get the tape exactly nested). Inside dimensions are 55mm by 50mm if I measure the distance across the opening in each direction, if you want to compare that to some of your other bangles. I have a 5 1/2 inch wrist and it is just a bit too large for me. : ( It won't slide off my hand without opening, and I could wear it in a stack, but it does spin around my wrist. And with the safety chain, it opens to slide over a larger wrist.

The largest center emerald is about 4.3mm in diameter. They taper down in size to 3.5mm at each end. There are 11 emeralds in all. The diamonds are small, 1.5 to 1.7mm each. The north south footprint of the bracelet is about 15.5mm and 4.5mm deep. Some of my buyers use these measurements to draw it out and "try it on" to see scale.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Very few dings or dents as we often see on bangles of this age. The hinge is very tight. There is wear to one prong here or there but all the stones have enough prongs around them to hold them. The emeralds are in very nice condition with just one having a tiny flea bite and two with an inclusion that carries up to the surface leaving a tiny crease seen only under magnification. They have a better than most sheen and polish and a rich color. Typical natural emeralds with some natural inclusions and slightly varying hues but none appear overall milky. The diamonds appear quite frosty overall. They are very small so this is not super glaring as they are just meant to provide a glint of sparkle. Sturdy and wearable piece!

Beautiful coloring, shine and patina. Some surface wear and a few scuffs or scratches but no real dings or dents.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
