ABOUT:
These striking Victorian three part dangles are such a coloring and they catch the light beautifully. Each of the three little buttercup settings are set with a metallic blackish gray hematite stone, with each setting connected by loop for movement and dangle-ability (new word! : )
Crafted in rich 14k gold with a lovely patina, They look like something you would see in a period piece movie. May have been a mourning jewelry significance at the time but a timeless moody vibe for the modern day! Such intriguing stones with that metallic lustre and inimitable coloring.
No hallmarks remain but tests at 14k gold.
These have the dormeuse style catches - The wires have a hooked end that are inserted from the back of the ear and latch into the little loop atop the front of the earring. These can be finicky to wear if you are not familiar with this style. They remain super popular but do take some practice and tactile strength to latch them while in the ear, it just takes a bit of practice.
Antique boxes, chains, props in photos is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some surface wear and patina but a nice sheen and polish. The hinges and catches work very well, but they are dainty. This is how they are made so they always need a gentle hand especially considering 125+ year old gold hinges. The prongs holding the stones are in good shape so they are well set in that regard but we don't recommend 24/7 wear with this type of fabrication.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
