ABOUT:
Something about the design of this one makes me think of Great Gatsby, or a skyscraper : ) it has a great architectural quality. Almost like you'd see in a period movie about the Art Deco period. This ring totals just under half a carat and is set with nine old mine cut diamonds, small but with some chunky crowns. They are set into the ring face which has a linear design, where each of the milgrained sections are stepped down slightly from the center.

Adding interest, the ring has a comfortable bit of height to it, where they are propped up on a platform style setting with openwork gallery to allow the light to pass through. This one brings a really interesting geometry to a ring stack!

Found in England with their older 18CT stamp for 18k gold and a maker's mark.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from photos.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 7 1/2. The ring face is 16.5x9.5mm. It stands 5.5mm off the finger. It weighs 4.5 grams.

The center row of three diamonds are the largest at 2.5mm each. The rest are 1.5 to 2mm each for a total carat weight of just under half a carat. Note - exact depths in the setting are unknown as I would never remove them so this is an estimation.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds with some natural inclusions. One of the larger stones on the end has a carbon inclusion right in the center that gives the stone a slightly more gray hue, this is eye visible. The larger stone on the opposite end has a cloud inclusion that is also eye visible. All the other inclusions are more faint and only very slightly eye visible if at all to the smaller stones (and are not visible to my eyes which are in their 40s! : ) but I am always picky to mention anything I see studying the piece under magnification. One of the smallest end stones displays a warmer hue. Sturdy bead prongs in quite good shape considering age.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
