ABOUT:
Many years ago when I sold more silver than gold, I used to sell a lot of these antique good luck charms. They were super popular in the Astro Hungarian region and are fun to collect because you can mix and match all the different styles and designs.
On my recent inventory trip I visited Austria and Hungary so I sought out some of these charms that are specific to the region to bring back to my customers. They are quite hard to find, especially the even more scarce ones crafted in solid gold.
Please note the measurements as it is difficult to determine scale from the zoomed photos I am required to present.
This one is in 14k solid gold with a decorative outline and green enamel clover, the classic symbol of good luck.
It would be interesting on a charm bracelet, or looks absolutely adorable and whimsical as a pendant.
The backs of these were often engraved or personalized but this one is blank and could be personalized by your local engraver if desired.
It is stamped with the numerical hallmark used in Europe for 14k gold, in this case 585, on the jump ring. The stamp looks a bit later than the piece so it is either a later add to the piece or this one is possibly into Art Deco period but the woman I bought them from specializes in these and told me which ones were antique.
Chain in photos is not included. Any other items shown in group photos are listed separately in the shop. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Dimensions: 12.8mm in diameter, 14.2mm north south to the attached loop (not including the jump ring).
Weight: 1.15 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
