ABOUT:
All quality with this versatile antique three stone band. At center is a natural pinkish red ruby of beautiful color and inner glow (also in nice condition). It is flanked by two chunky bezel set old mine cut diamonds, eye clean and also of excellent quality with lofty crowns and that wonderful antique hand chiseled appearance.
All three stones are set in bezels for a smooth and easy wearing experience (why does that sound like AI? It's not! : ). The bezels are topped in platinum with milgrain detail surround typical for the period. Just a classic easy to wear beauty with color and sparkle.
One of the old mine cut diamonds has crown facets that are long and triangular scissor cuts with really high crowns. (Mine cuts typically have three rows of facets to the crown whereas these have the single row of long facets). Extra chunky with that great antique sparkle and a bit rectangular / elongated. Perhaps a combination of a French cut / Old Mine Cut ? as diamond cutters at the time used their personal knowledge, taste and expertise to enhance each diamond. It is always fun to find uniquely cut antique diamonds!
The platinum hallmark remains but the gold stamp is missing, likely lost in a sizing but tests at 18k gold. Found in the UK.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 1/2. The three stones cover 14mm east to west. 3.5mm tall off the finger. It weighs 2 grams. The ruby is 5.3mm in diameter and the diamonds are each about 3.7 to 3.8mm. Chunky cuts so I would think they are close to quarter carat each? I would not remove them for measuring.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Diamonds are eye clean, ruby is also excellent for age with no major abrasions and only a few needle inclusions under magnification. Wonderful color and inner glow.
Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any fingerprints, surface wear, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lighting conditions help as they serve as part of the description.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )

But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
